Vi-Cal’s screen doors are manufactured using heavy gauge extruded aluminum frames. Extruded aluminum frames are much stronger than typical roll formed imported steel doors found in ‘big box’ retailers. Since they are made of aluminum, they are much more resistant to rust and corrosion assuring years of dependable service and good looks. We only use quality components, such as our heavy-duty pneumatic closers. Our hinge assembly incorporates Oilite Bushings for smooth opening and closing and are attached to an included expander allowing for a ‘custom’ fit and adjustment up to 1-½” for door ways which may be out of square. In addition we use quality ‘metal’ (not plastic) corner locks making a much more rigid and long lasting door. 

We offer clear anodized and dark bronze anodized door finishes as well as a white powder coated finish.

A plain mill finish has an oily surface and may oxidize over time. Clear anodizing provides a superior finish that will maximize the lifespan of your door and still give it a sleek metallic look.

Our doors come with expander bars (top and bottom adjust) to allow for small adjustments in size, up to 1-½” maximum.  This also allow for adjustment to compensate for doorways that may be out of square or plumb. Please make sure you measure your doorframe carefully before placing an order for the most accurate measurement so that there will be little need for variation using the expander and bottom channel. Due to shipping procedures and economics, it is not feasible to ship less than the minimum of ten doors without incurring large excess costs.  We do allow for different mixing and matching of our doors to complete the order.  If you would like to make arrangements for your own shipping, please consult the factory.
